Rates and Prep
Rates for all services offered are listed below. Please carefully read through the quilt preparation notes in all of the sections to ensure a smooth quilting experience and a timely turn around time.
Quilting
All quilting is charged by the square inch.
Edge to Edge
Edge to edge quilting is any one design repeated over the entire surface of the quilt. There is a $50 minimum for all E2E quilting
$.03 per square inch
Example: Your quilt is 60”x80”
60 x 80 = 4800
4800 x .03 = 144
Your edge to edge quilting cost is $144
Custom
Custom quilting is multiple designs placed with unique intention over the whole quilt. A combination of computer automation, ruler work, and freehand quilting will be used to give the quilt an heirloom quality look. There is a minimum of $125 for all custom work
I charge $.06 - $.10 per square inch for all custom quilting depending on complexity and density of the quilting.
Example: Your quilt is 60” x 80”
60 x 80 = 4800
4800 x .06 = 288
Your custom quilting cost is $288
Batting
Hobbs 80/20 cotton-poly batting is available for purchase if needed.
Batting must be at least 3 inches wider than the quilt top on all four sides. Add 6 inches to the width and length of your quilt top to determine how much batting you will need.
Price Per Linear Inch
$.27 per linear inch.
Example: Your quilt is 60 inches wide.
60 + 6 = 66
66 x .27 = $17.82
Your batting costs $17.82
Pricing for special orders will be determined at the time of request.
Backing
All backings must be at least 4 inches wider on all four sides of the quilt top. Add 8 inches to the width and length of your quilt top to determine how large your backing should be.
If backing fabric is not provided with the quilt top, it can be sourced for an extra $25 fee plus the price of the fabric.
Additional Services
Trimming, binding, repairs, attaching labels or any other services outside of quilting will be charged by the hour. Details will be determined during intake.
